01 / BEFORE YOU WRITE

Start with the evidence

Define the question, the audience, and the decision the reader should be able to make. Name the primary source before drafting the interpretation.

  • Use an authoritative source, dataset, journal, institution, or documented field observation.
  • Record the publication date, reference period, geographic scope, and unit of measurement.
  • Separate what the source reports from what you infer.
  • State one important limitation instead of hiding uncertainty.

THE EVIDENCE CARD

Source
Who produced it and where is the canonical record?

Coverage
Which people, places, period, and observations are included?

Limit
What can this evidence not establish?

03 / THE SUBMISSION CHECK

Before you press publish

  1. The title says exactly what the record is about.
  2. The summary tells the reader why it matters.
  3. The source link goes to the canonical page.
  4. Dates, units, places, and names are checked.
  5. Images, charts, and files have captions or provenance.
  6. English and French versions are clearly connected when both exist.
  7. The PDF filename is stable and the document record is complete.

IDENTITY

ADG assigns a public ID and an internal asset ID to each record. Do not invent a second identifier inside the title or PDF.

The QR code returns readers to the canonical library page. The barcode is for internal inventory and should never be used as a public citation.
